ECHO YOUTH THEATRE (EYT)

EYT is a youth run theatre program sponsored by ECHO Players. Under the leadership of an adult mentor, youth are granted the opportunity to experience and learn about all aspects of theatre. From casting and directing, to stage management and technical aspects, members of EYT are given the chance to bring their own productions to the ECHO stage, in the Spring Showcase!

2025 EDUCATION PROGRAMS

• Spring Break-a-Leg Musical Theatre:  $200
  Daily classes in singing, dancing and acting. Classes run March 17th - 21st, 2025, from 9am to 3pm daily
  Featuring: “Romeo and Juliet” at Qualicum Beach School of Dance, 744 Primrose
  Performance: Friday, March 21st at 3.00 pm at The Village Theatre

• JuMP: $200
  A one week program for ages 6-12. No experience necessary. Daily classes in singing, choir, dancing, acting, and FUN! Classes run July 21st-25th, 2025, from 9am to 3pm daily
  Featuring: "Stars"
  Performance: Saturday, July 26th- Student Showcase - Dress rehearsal 10:00 am, Performance 1:00 pm at The Village Theatre

• 27th Annual Summer Youth Theatre Workshop: $224
  Introduces students to the magical world of theatre. Ages 8-14 will learn what it takes to put on a show through teamwork, improv games, and character development, memorization, acting, voice & movement techniques with performances for friends & family on the final day. Our experienced and encouraging program leaders support students in developing self confidence & creativity while fostering friendships & fun.
  Classes run July 14th-20th, 2025, from10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Saturday.
  Performance: Sunday, July 20th at 2:00pm & 6:30 pm at the Village Theatre,

• 2025 Teen Musical Theatre: $425
  Featuring: "Footloose - Youth Edition"
  A three week program for ages 13-19. Instruction in singing, acting, dancing, stagecraft. Program runs July 28th - August 17th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm weekdays.
  Performances: Friday, August 15th at 7:30 pm, Saturday, August 16th, at 2pm and 7:30 pm & Sunday, August 17th at 2:00 pm
  Venue: Knox United Church, Parksville

  FOOTLOOSE: YOUTH EDITION is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
