Because of those members and patrons who have already given generously, we are more than halfway to our goal of raising $100,000 to replace our beloved theatre’s well-worn seats.

We are now facing a looming December deadline to raise the rest of the funds—so if you’ve been thinking about being a part of revitalizing our community theatre, now is the time to act!

Recognizing that we all have different financial priorities, we are offering a number of ways for you to support this important project (see below).

Take a Seat!

For 50 years the ECHO Players Theatre Society has taken care of the Village Theatre, a designated heritage building in the heart of Qualicum Beach.

To keep our guests comfortable for the next 50 years we need to replace the old seats, which were used when we got them! We need your help to reach our funding goal.

Choose an option that works for you:

Individual Sponsor A Seat: Select an available seat along with an optional personalized plaque for the lifetime of the seat. $500 per seat, two consecutive monthly payments of $250, OR four consecutive monthly payments of $125. Contact Colin at Email us for more information.

Share A Seat Sponsorship: Get together as a group and sponsor a seat. Individual tax receipts will be provided for each sponsor. So contact a friend (or 3) and help us reach our goal. Email us your interest and we will take it from there.

 

Business Sponsor A Seat: Select available seat(s) along with an optional plaque with your business name for the lifetime of the seat. $500 per seat

Make a Donation: Any amount will help achieve our goal.

A tax receipt will be issued for any donation of $20 or more.
To donate by cheque: Make cheques payable to “ECHO Players”.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A. Make cheques payable to “ECHO Players”

    For seat selection, visit the theatre during regular box office hours, or email info@echoplayers.ca to make arrangements. A box office coordinator will assist you in selecting from available seats and will take payment by cheque.

    Include “Seat Sponsorship” in the Memo field of your cheque.

    All other donations by cheque can be mailed to:

    Please include the phrase Seat Donation in the Memo field of your cheque.

  • A. Any short message of 140 characters or less.

    Individual Sponsors may use their name or a dedication to someone else who is special.

    Corporate Sponsors may use their business name.

  • A. If you are paying online using provided links it will be automatically identified as "Take a Seat."

    If you pay by cheque, use the memo field on your cheque to indicate "Seat Sponsorship".

    At this time, all other donations will be directed to "Take A Seat" unless indicated by the donor.

    The balance will reported at our '24 and '25 AGMs.

  • A. You can specify a donation for some purpose other than "Take a Seat". All donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt.

  • A. Seat installation is expected to begin in August 2025.

    The only anticipated effect will be with Teen Musical Theatre. We are working with organizers to find an alternative venue.

    None of ECHO Players mainstage productions will be affected.

  • A. We are confident we will meet our goal. In the unlikely event we cannot proceed, we will consult our members and donors.
